1996 Mens: 1st Rob Elliott, Guernsey (No 12) 2.53.20, 2nd Colin Bradley, Trowbridge AC (No 6) 2.55.45, 3rd Kevin Baker, Weymouth & St Pauls (No 1) 2.56.31.

Long time rivals Elliott and Bradley reached 5 miles together with Baker three and a half minutes behind. Still together at 15 miles, Bradley was slowly dropped soon afterwards, with Baker closing the gap on Bradley to only 46 seconds at the finish line.
